Brief letter from Ellicott to Mr. Calender Twine in Carlisle (Pa.), requesting that the bearer, Mr. William Cristy of Pittsburgh, be paid $43 for delivery of the money to Mrs. Ellicott, Andrew's wife, in Philadelphia (Pa.). A note on the back of the letter indicates that the money was received at Carlisle on Oct. 23, 1896 from Mr. Twine. The note was signed by William Christy (spelled here with an "h".).
